Manoling Morato is on the Big Screen!!!

Scream4 is one of the most awaited movies ever... Syempre from part 1 to part 3 it’s very scary and full of suspense...

We watched the Scream-4 last Wednesday at the cinema. While waiting for the movie to start, we were so excited and thinking “ano kaya bago dito sa part IV”. Is it more scary and full of suspense than before? or maybe not?

The movie had great suspense with intense twists; you’ll laugh, and you’ll scream and it really is full of surprises. Some found it corny but what I like the most is the storyline. You’ll never know who the killer is. But that surprises me a lot!

She is really like Manoling Morato.

The killer is so selfish to the extent that she will kill her family and friends for the sake of “FAME”.

The killer wanted to be popular and tell the world that she is great and that she’s the survivor!

The killer seems out of her mind.

And that’s what Manoling Morato is all about.

But don’t get me wrong.

Manoling did not kill anyone physically, but what he does best is to destroy other people’s lives and reputation.

Manoling is selfish. For fame and imagery, he will not think twice about hurting someone.

Manoling, Manoling, the proverbial (and oh-so-gay) protagonist. Why?

Watch Scream4 … and you are bound to see Manoling there.

“Go forth and multiply!”

The Bible is not an ordinary book.
You cannot get the true meaning by reading it just once.
You have to go deep and read between the lines.
Then perhaps and you will get a clearer understanding.

I read an article from “The Philippine Star” entitled “Tie a purple ribbon for RH” written by Domini M. Torrevillas.
This is a movement that shows women rights and family control.

Why the color purple?
According to “The forum for family planning & development, Inc.”, purple is a color associated with many causes.
Around the world, purple has been used as a color to raise awareness for causes like cancer, violence against women,
Alzheimer's disease, and many more.

Here in the Philippines, purple has been used to symbolize
women's rights and reproductive health.
Ironically, it is also a religious color.

This is one special event which speaks the right of women with regards to the Reproductive Health System, human equality and family planning.
Many women nowadays have HIV/AIDS.
Some are abused by their husband or partner.
Most family suffer because of plenty of children and worse, some women die because of sexual abuse or health problems.

There is nothing wrong with family planning and birth control.
In fact, this is a very noble way to exist.

I just have a comment about what the stand of the Catholic Church
regarding the matter.

Having asked Manny Pacquiao to comment on the matter,
the Pacman quoted a biblical verse: “Go forth and multiply”.
This quote catches my attention!
If you will listen to how Pacquiao said it, yes, it is grammatically wrong.
But grammar set aside, what is disturbing is how Pacquiao actually understood and interpreted the verse.

"Go forth and multiply” means multiply in the sense that people would accept and believe Him. He pertains to spiritual things not physical satisfaction.
God did not order a literal translation of the Bible.
God most definitely does not want us to suffer, to be poor
and to experience hardship.

Yes, we have free will.
Yes, we can choose to have more kids.

But is irresponsible parenthood our choice?

Think again.

Manoling Morato and his words

We have freedom to speak.. But are those words worthy enough to prove to people that what you say is true?
